As
a part of the Radio and
Communication Course developed in "O
Camiño" Youth Camp at Forcarei
Youth Hostel (Pontevedra) by the O.J.E.
Extremadura, the special
call sign EA1/EA7RCE was activated.
There was also a brief talk and demonstration about amateur radio. Participants
in this activity were aged between 8
and 30. The beginning was not promising as the 10-metre radio station was QRT some days before the course, so we had to ask the help of Galician radio hams through R-0. Manolo came immediately from Estrada with his aerials and stations ready to fill the gap in HF with the V-UHF bands.

Enrique, EA1EOR, from Pontevedra and
Miguel,
EA1AMF,
from Marín brought us their brand-new portable stations and so we could
do some QSO with EA and the rest of Europe with the young people present
in the event.
We wish to thank Manolo, Enrique and Miguel their time, help and

The
National School has been
working on a Radio Specialist
Manual lately. The Manuals for Proel
and
Timonel Radio are about to be published for their use in our Clubs
and Camps. Their aim is to
complement newspapers and other media. | ||||

Good
news! The Organización Juvenil Española Radio
Association (A.R.O.J.E.) has already got its own
call sign: EA7RCE, and
has become a member of the Unión de Radioaficionado Españoles (U.R.E.). The
EA7RCE manager is EA7KA.
We have done all these activities since 2001:

Since
we got our own call sign as a Radioclub,
ED7RCE, we have done activations for the Castles
of Spain and Hermitages of Spain Diplomas, as
well as the ED7OJE/1
from La Vecilla
(León). We also took part in the "Feria
y Fiestas de Almería" Trophy
and Diploma as a control station in the years
2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. |

GO
TO THE RADIO ACTIVATIONS

The
National School for Radio, TV and New Technologies "Diodo" has
the aim of preparing specialists who will develop the Radio,
Video and Internet Proeles and Timoneles courses
for our Flechas and Arqueros (the youngest members of O.J.E.), as well as
promoting research activities about the different applications of the
information and communication technologies as a part of the whole
Organization’s educational tasks.
Since its creation the School has developed three National
Courses for Radio and Television Specialists and one National Course for
Media Specialists. | |
